  Did you ever have a weird bible/book study?

  This one will crack you up!

  We were at the book study at this old sister?s house, and she had an old dog that had a habit of letting off silent but deadly farts. At the end of the study I was closing in prayer. Now comic timing normally has to be planned but this is a winner! During the prayer for no particular reason I started going on about how Satan has poisoned the air of this system of things, and I swear at that exact moment the dog let off the smelliest fart I have ever known. Well, I tried to prevent myself from laughing but just stood there silently trying to compose myself ? you know how difficult that is when you are desperate to laugh in a situation where you are not supposed to ? then the sister next to me just burst out laughing and that was it, I cracked. Well I laughed for about 2 minutes before I could blurt out the compulsory ending ??through Jesus name! Amen.?

  It was a corker. Within 5 minutes after the study the elder was round to give me counsel about blah blah blah, you know the stuff. Pure joy.

  it is quite remarkable how people who've done nothing to really further the cause of peace seem to win the nobel peace prize.

  the most glowing insult to the integrity of what this prize should stand for, was best demonstrated with its awarding to yasser arafat, the father of modern day terrorism.. .

  although i've never heard of one instant where arafat purposefully placed his life or well being on the line in face to face combat, he has literally sent thousands to their horrible deaths.

  You made me remember something. The elder giving the talk whilst the brother was dying started to speak louder and louder so as to drown out the noise of the working paramedics.

  I've said it before and I'll say it again, WatchtowerWorld is sure one fucked up place!

  Wow! Surely this is the exception and not the rule, even in WatchtowerWorld! Has anybody been in a meeting where someone had a heart attack and they did immediately cancel the meeting out of concern for the sick one?

  A friend of mine could not cope with the pain of her advancing Multiple Sclerosis without M. Apparently it was much more effective than the prescription drugs she was given.

  Perhaps more unbelievably, no-one ceased attendance because of that night. In fact, the following week a brother, who later became a missionary in Africa, applauded the fact that he had died at the Kingdom Hall. To paraphrase him, "To die at the Kingdom Hall worshiping Jehovah is the best possible place to die." Seriously. Personally I think all places are bad places to die.

  Marijuana for migraines?

  so yesterday i had such bad migraine (with all of its accompanying symptoms...) that i ended up at er for narcotics and re-hydration.

  this was after excruciating pain for 7-8 hours thinking "just a little more time and it'll easy up.

  " wrong.. anyways, they grogged me up with atavan, thorazine and one other i can't recall... and i'm still pretty unsteady on my feet today.

  Eating/drinking it means it enters the bloodstream much more slowly. It can take an hour to be high. How much? That depends on all sorts of things. How strong is it? How much do you want? I recall once saying to a pal of mine that we should get well stoned and head for the pub. I think I crumbled about a sixteenth each onto cheese on toast!

  About an hour later in the pub WE were toast!

  In a strange reversal, a few years later almost an entire JW family from Shipley were wiped out in a car crash, leaving two orphaned children. I went to the funeral and I couldn't get in. Several hundred "worldly" people in the local area read about the tragedy in the local paper and went to the funeral to pay respects, even though they didn't know them. They sure showed us a lesson in humanity, huh?
